INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATIONS - 21-06-2022

8 th International Yoga Day was celebrated today with great zeal and enthusiasm. The school strictly followed the protocols of the Government of India namely, “Yoga for
Humanity”. The event was presided over by Dr. J. Karthick Anjaneyan, M.B.B.S., M.D.,
D.M., Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist. The school with respect to the
circular notified by the CBSE, framed an Agenda and organized various co-curricular
activities. The day started with a warming up session by Class 10 students with
Suryanamaskara and Asanas mentioned in the protocol. It was a mind blowing
performance displaying the postures with agility and endurance.
Class 10 students also highlighted the show with a human pyramid
demonstration with perfection and precision. Students of Class 3, 4 & 5 presented a
group song on Lord Siva depicting the ideology of Adi Yogi, the Supreme power.
Manas Balaji of Class 9 presented a thought provoking speech in Tamil highlighting
the benefits of yogasanas. Sree Varshine of Class 12 started with a wonderful quote
“Yoga adds year to your life and life to your years”, which was greatly appreciated by
the Chief Guest Dr. J. Karthick Anjaneyan. Students of Class 7, 8 and 9 presented a
group song on various postures of yoga and benefits.
The events in the morning assembly ground ended with cheerful applause by the
Chief Guest and the audience. The events were then continued lead by various
Literary, Science and Nature Clubs. The following activities were organized in a very
systematic way.

The International Yoga Day was celebrated with fullest participation by the
students under the guidance of the teachers.
