POLICE FLAG DAY - 02-11-2020

 

 POLICE SERVICES FLAG DAY PERIOD: 21.10.2020-31.10.2020

Greater Chennai Police had observed POLICE SERVICES FLAG DAY during October 21.10.2020 to 31.10.2020 to highlight the martyrdom of Police personnel who sacrificed their life while on service to the nation.

In consonance to the above,an Elocution competition was conducted among schools on the topic”Role of Police in Nation Building” in English through online due to the current pandemic situation.

Hence participation from various schools across the city was invited through online and the same was registered through the given mail id.

D.A.V SCHOOL, ADAMBAKKAM had registered for two entries in English and Tamil respectively.

P.JAGATHPATHY PRANAV OF XI-A  had participated in English Elocution..The first round was on 27th October 2020.The Judge was the Alandur Assistant Police Commisioner.There were about 20 participants from the neighbouring schools.Pranav was selected among the three participants shortlisted in the Zonal level.(SOUTH)

The next round was city level, which was held on November 2nd 2020.Here around 24 participants across the city had participated which was really a challenging one. The competition was broadcasted live from the office of Police Commissioner ,Chennai.

The final round of winners were selected and were invited for a prize distribution ceremony on 30th December 2020 at the City Police Commissioner’s office. All the 24 shortlisted candidates were honoured with a “Certificate of Participation” and the top three students were awarded a trophy.                                                         .

Here again,D.A.V SCHOOL proudly announces that SAI SRUTHI of XI-E had also won the second prize among the 24 participants for Tamil Elocution and was duly awarded.

We are very proud to announce that both our students were in the limelight and had proved their competency in their oratory skils.

Pranav had indeed highlighted the hardships rendered by the police personnel, during this tough Pandemic situation.He solemnized the services of Police men with great laurels by appreciating their selfless service in protecting the public despite the risks involved. He had also projected the intiative taken by the Police department through “KAVALAN APP” in maintaining safety and security for women especially.
