Swami Vivekananda Walkathon
The Initiative for Moral & Cultural Training Foundation (IMCTF), an organization involved in spreading moral, cultural and spiritual values organizes spriritual fair every year to revive the rich culture & heritage of our nation. As part of the pre-fair activities, various events are organized in which the students of our school participated actively. One such event was the Swami Vivekananda Walkathon organized on 25th January this year. Thousand plus students of D.A.V and from various other schools in the vicinity enthusiastically marched a distance of 3 kms around Adambakkam, donning the mask of the great youth icon of the country, Swami Vivekananda. The event was flagged-off by retd. Maj.Gen.Shri Karthikeyan, who in his speech motivated the students to join the Indian Army and was all in admiration of the school band which reminded him of the army band.
