74th Independence Day Celebrations
Inculcating patriotism is one of the main objectives of education in D.A.V. School. Independence day celebrations every year is a prominent occasion for inculcating patriotic spirit. This year it was with equal zeal that the programmes were showcased to the Chief Guest Dr.K.P.Raveentharan, M.B.B.S., Orthopaedic surgeon, Kumaran Specialities Hospital,Ashok Nagar , Chennai, who also hoisted the National flag and was introduced to the four houses marching, while saluting him. Besides the prolific speeches delivered by the students, there was the band display and mass drill by students which enchanted the audience. Welcome dance and rendition of school song is an integral feature of every event in D.A.V. Valuable and noteworthy advice was given by the Chief Guest for the welfare of the students who is also the Editor of the Tamil Magazine ‘Mudal Kural’. Prizes were distributed by the esteemed guest to the winners of various competitions held for students from K.G. to IV standards.
