71 st INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS at D.A.V school
D.A.V has always been at the forefront in fostering patriotism in the students, therefore Independence day holds a special prominence among all other events .
Like every year a gala of programmes were staged by the students under the special viewership of the chief guest Shri.K.Jawaharji, who has wide range of credentials not only in his personal accomplishments but also for the community service he has rendered.
Invigorating speeches by students in English,Tamil and Hindi added to the patriotic feeling of the day apart from the mass drill,aerobic exercises and yogasanas displayed by them.
The main highlight of the event was the patriotic song competetion initiated by the school among the four houses viz: Cheran ,Cholan,Pandian and Pallavan who had offered tribute to the martyrs of the freedom struggle by singing compositions of Subramania Bharathi and other patriotic poets.It was a day filled with colourful splendour and spirit of patriotism.
