WORLD ELDER ABUSE AWARENESS DAY (15 TH JUNE)
The assembly programme on 15 th June , 2017, marked the world elder abuse awareness day , declared by the U.N. India has a rich tradition of reverence of elders.
But this tradition is gradually fading due to modern influences. To create awareness of the need, to respect the elders and senior citizens, students performed skit to spread the important message.
This goes a long way for the students of D.A.V in carrying with them noble values when they enter into the society as worthy individuals.
The students also shoulder the responsibility of bringing back the lost glory and traditions of our ancient past.
The chief guest Dr.Marudhupandian of Ponmalligai hospital was greatly impressed by the programme put up by the students of D.A.V. The main aim of the programme was to inculcate feeling of love and care towards the elders.
