THE 69TH REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS AT D.A.V SCHOOL 2018
The 69th Republic day was celebrated at D.A.V school with Kavimamani Shri Kalian sampath as the Chief guest.
The students had put up a colorful cultural show of songs and dance based on patriotic values. Mass drills were performed by students of second standard with colorful pompoms , while the students of VII standard had done with skipping ropes.
The SPL and ASPL commanded a March past with the captains of 4 houses followed by their house members. The school band also had given a display of the band music.
After an inspiring speech by the Chief guest, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various sporting events conducted during the academic session under the categories: juniors, sub juniors, seniors and super seniors.
Prizes were also distributed for the sports activities conducted for teachers and support staff. The house mistresses of the four houses namely Cheran,Cholan,Pandian and Pallavan were also given prizes. Pallavan house was adjudged the overall champion house with 185 points and Pandian house was the runner up with 183 points.
It was a memorable day for all.
